ETSU PhD students collaborate with US Military Academy faculty
Last week doctoral students Keith Leiting and Ben Gleason traveled to West Point, NY to conduct a study on ROTC cadets in the Sandhurst Competition. Leiting coordinated a joint effort with LTC Pete Jensen, assistant director of the USMA's Center for Enhanced Performance, to investigate the psychological preparedness and physiological qualities of teams competing in the annual international military skills competition. While at West Point, Leiting and Gleason visited with Army's strength & conditioning coach Scott Swanson and learned about the challenges of developing athletic performance in a very busy, high-stress academic environment.
